SUPER AMERICAN Premiere New Single “Chris From Walmart”

Buffalo, NY indie duo SUPER AMERICAN have released their new single “Chris From Walmart” today ahead of the release of their debut album Tequila Sunrise, which will be released next Friday, September 14th via Take This To Heart Records. The track features an energetic and melodic guitar riff that instantly gets stuck in the listener’s head, as well as biting and comedic lyrics in relation to the narrator ending up with a partner that someone they know, the titular Chris From Walmart, was romantically interested in. Like the other tracks on Tequila Sunrise, it perfectly captures the quirky and unique vibe that Super American exudes flawlessly.

When speaking about the track, Pat Feeley says “My now-girlfriend lives an hour outside of my city in this little town where there’s nothing but a Walmart. This kid would put the moves on her every time she was in the Walmart. She even gave him her number just so he would let it up. I noticed every time she would talk about it I couldn’t get myself to criticize him. It was one of those ‘I’m not even mad, I’m impressed’ situations. The consistency, the audacity, it was inspiring.”

You can listen to the track now on Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube. Also posted above!

Tequila Sunrise’s 13 tracks perfectly showcase Super American’s penchant for hooks and memorable lyrics , with the album containing extremely catchy songs that could easily be ripped from the soundtrack of a late 90’s/early 2000’s romantic comedy. The sound is further punctuated by both Pat Feeley and Matt Cox trading vocals throughout the record, allowing both of their unique, personality filled voices to shine and resonate with the listener.

SUPER AMERICAN is Pat Feeley and Matt Cox.
