Metal By Numbers 4/3: Someone got dirt on the charts

Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.
Honestly? Never got into Mötley Crüe. I don’t think they’re bad or anything, I just wasn’t exposed to them as much as other metal bands that were killing it in the 80’s. So I wasn’t really compelled to watch The Dirt, especially because it looks so…cheap? I did watch that one scene with Ozzy and thought that actor did a pretty decent job. Guess with all the biopics going on that means an Ozzy/Sabbath movie can’t be far behind right? Anyway, enough people liked The Dirt/wanted a shred of new music from the band that the soundtrack is our top debut this week, followed by another compilation of songs from a well-known band that kickstarted in the 80’s.
